After loading in VRML,  press the "Fit" button to scale the image to your VRML window size.  
Then use "Study" and "Rotate" modes to rotate the feature to display with the best lighting. 
You also may need to use "Roll" to square up the feature rendering. 

Carlotto's method assumes the azimuth of the Sun angle across the rendered object is 
270 degrees (from the West to the East).  Renderings made with Carlotto's method 
are best viewed from the West.  From that viewpoint, east-west artifact lines in 
the renderings disappear.
